A bumpy ride through the desert….

We joined some Navajo Indians who took us into the desert. We travelled there in a giant 4×4 with an open back where we clung on for dear life as the track was very bumpy

It was worth the bumpy, dusty journey to Upper Antelope Canyon – a slot canyon formed over millions of years by rainwater. Two weeks before we visited there was a flash flood which made the canyon two foot deeper.

Is it a dessert, a salad or a bowl of sick???๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿต

This is meant  to be a salad- but is it? I’m holding a competition! You have to guess the ingredients in this…. Well I’m not sure but here are some clues:

There are 4 ingredients

The ingredients  are both sweet and savoury

Please comment, text or email me your guess. I will post the answer some time tomorrow and announce the winner! Good luck!

It was a Dam good day

Yesterday we went rafting in Glen Canyon, near Lake Powell in Arizona. We started at Glen Dam and rafted along the Colorado river. The canyon walls, which were 1,000 feet high in places, led us to Horseshoe bend – a spectacular and much-photographed part of the canyon.

On the road

A scenic pit stop on our way from the Grand Canyon to Page. This is cowboy country. A man named Buffalo Jones introduced buffalos here. Mummy and Daddy told us a not very funny joke about buffalos and bisons.

Ben and Brighty

Here I am with the Grand Canyon’s most famous mule – Brighty. It is good luck to rub his nose before a hike. We did a five mile hike and sniffed lots of Ponderosa trees that smelt of custard.
